Anna is a seasoned financial services professional with a richly diverse functional background, including Management Consulting, Technology, Operations, Relationship Management, Risk Management and COO responsibilities. Anna’s career experience has spanned the Lloyd’s of London insurance market, the Equity Derivatives business and the full suite of Transaction Banking products, and has taken her to London, New York, Toronto, Tokyo and Hong Kong. Significant roles include Co-Founder & COO of SinoPac Solutions and Services Ltd (Hong Kong), COO and Deputy President of NikkoCiti Trust Bank (Tokyo), Regional Head of Operational Risk Management (Hong Kong) and Regional Head of GTS Client Delivery (Hong Kong).
Anna has an MA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Oxford University and has been Co-Chair of Women in Finance Asia, Hong Kong and a previous President of the Association for Women in Finance in Tokyo.
She is a popular public speaker and panel moderator, for both diversity-related and industry-related events.
Steve is currently Managing Director of Lone Star Funds based in Hong Kong. Prior to Lonestar, he co-founded and was Chief Executive Officer of SinoPac Solutions and Services based in Hong Kong. Previously, he was CEO of Oppenheimer Investments Asia managing all Asian investment banking activities based in Hong Kong. He has had extensive experience in Asia since 1983 and spent five years in Japan during his 23-year career at Citigroup. He started his career in the International Fixed Income Sales division at Salomon Brothers in New York. In 1994, he moved to Tokyo to manage Fixed Income Sales and Trading in Asia and served as Chief Administrative Officer of the joint venture Nikko Salomon Smith Barney. Returning to the U.S. in 1999 as senior staff to the Chairman and CEO of Salomon Smith Barney, he worked on planning and strategy for the Corporate and Investment Bank, integrating acquisitions such as Schroeders PLC and overseeing disaster planning and business continuity in the wake of the September 11 attacks. From 2003 to 2005, he was tapped to run Global Securities Services for Citigroup’s Corporate and Investment bank.

Vanessa Hemavathi is currently Global Programme Director for the Henley Hedge Fund Programme and is responsible for overseeing the program’s activities within Asia. Prior to this, she worked at the Wall Street Journal in Singapore and Hong Kong where she was managing commercial partnerships to accelerate business growth across the Asia Pacific region. She also spearheaded the go to market strategy of several high profile projects with both Newscorp and Dow Jones entities globally. She has also worked at Terrapin as Business Development Director overseeing the sales for Greater China, Hong Kong, Australia and Japan.
She is also the chairwoman for the networking committee for Women in Finance Asia(WIFA).
Vanessa holds a Bachelor of Science from the National University of Singapore and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from the National Institute of Education.
Marilyn possesses more than 15 years of direct sales and client servicing experience in Listed Derivatives. Her repertoire of clients includes corporate and financial institutions, high net-worth individuals, government-linked corporations, asset managers and high frequency trading firms. While serving as Head of Business Development in UOB Bullion and Futures Limited, she helped to develop and support the implementation of APAC strategy by scoping, managing and delivering on initiatives covering market specific organic growth strategy, client strategy, efficiency topics as well as assessment of new business and inorganic opportunities. She also helped senior management to drive strategic planning rhythm, manage overview of the firm's strategic initiatives portfolio and provide management with the pulse of the business which includes constant sourcing of new clearing brokers, new industry partners and platform providers.
Marilyn has also spearheaded marketing and branding initiatives in organizing partner events with various major exchanges, professional bodies and networking platforms (hedge fund clubs, Exchange events), garnering sponsorships and participation in major industry events such as FIA, FOW etc., and working closely with external media vendors to produce marketing and branding collaterals as well as website and corporate videos.
Prior to joining UOB Bullion and Futures, Marilyn was an execution sales trader at various global investment banks including Deutsche Bank AG, The Royal Bank of Scotland and ABN AMRO Futures Limited. During her stint at ABN AMRO Futures Limited, she was seconded to Tokyo (Japan) to participate in the setting up of a new futures unit for the bank to tap into the domestic market business. In addition to her professional career, Marilyn was also an Associate Lecturer in SIM University (currently known as Singapore University of Social Sciences).
Marilyn obtained her Masters in Applied Finance degree from University of Adelaide. She is proficient in Mandarin, Cantonese and Japanese and holds a Professional Diploma in English Chinese Translation Studies.
Lisa has worked for Henley Business School, Richard Ivey School of Business, Gerber Childrenswear Inc and EMI Music Asia. She has over 20 years experience in fields of program & event management, office administration and accounting.
Jacqueline directs investor relations and marketing for a value-oriented equity
Jacqueline has led investment banking simulations in M&A and IPO transactions for Brainceek, a training company, for undergraduate and graduate business school students. She has also worked with Fitch Learning on curriculum development.
Christophe (Chris) Santer has over 12 years experience in the Investment Fund Industry.
He started his own hedge fund consultancy shop in February 2017, and is currently acting as the Global Product Manager of Inflection Point Intelligence.
Prior to this, Chris had various roles within the Securities Services Industry, from Back (HSBC, BNY Mellon: Fund Admin), over Middle (BNY Mellon: Outsourced Hedge Fund Middle Office) to Front Office (Citibank: APAC Relationship Manager & Sales for AM/IM & Insurers). He has been living and working in Asia since March 2010 (5 years in Singapore, 2.5 years in Hong Kong and since April 2017 in Taipei). He’s fluent in English, German, French and Luxembourgish. Occasionally you may hear him speak in basic Mandarin.
